This is a no frills, yet delicious restaurant. It’s not a fancy establishment, yet the friendly staff, authentic delicious enormous bowls of homemade perfectly cooked just never fail to impress. The portions are ENORMOUS. We made the mistake of ordering two bowls one day and couldn’t finish the bowl. Love their authentic handmade udon noodles. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu! My favorites are jajamen for summer, spicy nasu soup noodle for winter, champon for total indulgence 😁
Amazing first experience dining here; was too hot for soup so skipped those. Had chawanmushi (just a tiny appetizer to whet your appetite), a salad w/apple dressing, 2 sushi rolls (crab, salmon), and fishcake tempura with onion salad (mixed w/mayo which sounds weird but it was delish). You help yourself to water and tea.
Def not an entry level Japanese resto, but recommend it. Knocking a star off atmosphere because it was crazy hot with the door open.
