Ba Mien Seafood Market Reviews
Ba Mien is what's left of the Asian markets on MLK in the Rainier Valley. This area was a hub for SE Asian refugees from the 80s and 90s so items at this store are catered to accordingly. Hard to find Asian ingredients are plentiful here. It's owned and operated by a nice Vietnamese family.
This is a good grocery store, good selection and tidy. Don’t let the old tile and fixtures fool you, their produce is consistently fresh. If you want nice finishes and a new store, go to Uwajimaya and pay 30-40% more for the same product. There’s reviews about rude cashiers, they are not rude in my opinion…look around…there’s 10 of them doing all the jobs in this store and it does get busy. A lot of them work round the clock, their shelves are always tidied and stocked....read full review

An incredible resource for residents of South Seattle, surprised to see a somewhat low rating here. They are well stocked with a lot of the good ingredients to make Asian dishes, especially Southeast Asian food of course. They have a ton of fish and meat of course, good quality and fresh too. The housewares section is great too.Price and friendliness are also really good! And they're open pretty late for a store like this. ?????
