Foo Lam Chinese Restaurant offers a variety of dishes, with the Kung Pao shrimp being particularly praised for its freshness and delicious sauce. The steamed pork buns and wonton soup received mixed reviews, with some suggesting to skip them. The restaurant frequently recommends their weekend specialty, dim sum. The service and atmosphere are average, but the food is consistently good, making it a popular choice for many regular customers. The parking lot can be crowded and tight, making it a bit challenging to find a spot. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and kid-friendly. It is noted that background music is played on repeat and can be quite repetitive. Many customers enjoy ordering for pick up to avoid extra fees, and the staff is known for fast service. The place is also favored for family dinners, especially for authentic Cantonese dishes like fresh seafood, honey walnut prawns, and eel stir fry. Big groups are welcome, and the atmosphere can be lively with a karaoke machine. Speaking Cantonese can lead to friendly teasing from the staff, who are happy to recommend the best and freshest dishes. Overall, Foo Lam remains a trusted spot for those seeking genuine Chinese food in Seattle.
