About Brother Joe

Brother Joe is a charming spot in the Georgetown neighborhood that offers really good food and drinks. The space is bright, cozy, and welcoming, enhanced by whimsical artwork and beautiful macramé art that creates a playful vibe. The menu features unique flavor combinations, such as miso honey and chaga in their cold brew, as well as thoughtfully crafted beverages that stand out from typical offerings. The food is served on paper and plastic, but the friendly and helpful staff make the experience enjoyable. Dishes like the ham and cheese raclette with bacon onion jam are highly praised for their melty, flavorful quality, while the croissant BLAT with a fried egg is noted for being crunchy, warm, messy, and juicy. The pastry selection, including the berry crumble bar, is also a highlight. It is a counter service restaurant where customers order at the counter and take their items to the table, which helps keep prices lower and makes it a great place for larger brunch groups without long waits. Overall, Brother Joe is a lovely spot for breakfast and brunch, though the use of disposables and the retail space could be improved. Visitors are encouraged to explore the neighborhood afterward, especially during events like the monthly "Art Attack! Art Walk!"

Always a favorite hang out spot of mine in Georgetown. Wonderful people there. Chelsea’s Cakes is amazing too.
