Our regular spot for take-out a couple times a month! We enjoy everything they have, from fried rice, Kung Pao, Beef broccoli and the usual standards to the Vietnamese and Japanese options. Good quality and consistency, and the family and employees are kind and helpful.

I love this place. It looks shabby from the outside, but the food and the service is excellent. It's run by a family that has been there for years. It's our go to take out spot.

Don't let the faded exterior fool you! It serves delicious Cantonese-style food with an open kitchen. Plenty of affordable lunch specials and regular dishes. The ~$14 lunch special (before tax) comes with a great portion, a spring roll and hot & sour soup, The food is freshly cooked and flavorful. Professional chefs, friendly staff and fast service. Takeout is also available!

Our favorite Chinese restaurant in the city. We started coming here because it was the closest to what you can find in New York City. After a while though, we realized it is SO MUCH BETTER than any corner joint in NYC. The best.

Minimal Assembly

Maybe it was an off-day. Walked in, greeted and told to sit down. The chef was super friendly and smiling, so an extra star. However, the restaurant was in poor condition from the faded sign outside to the food stains on the walls inside. No one ever came to my table to take my order, bring water or a menu. The temperature inside was cold (felt like 55 degrees), while outside was high 30’s. I finally just went back to my warm car to place a take out order. Order came and the beef looked like rubber and everything else looked microwaved and had no taste. I had half a bite of the broccoli, then closed the box and discarded the food. Very hungry at that point, ended up going elsewhere for lunch. I’ve had decent Chinese food in Seattle and other cities (SF, Chicago, Boston, NYC). This was by far the worst. If you don’t like wasting food or money, I would skip this place.

Love this place. I'll be so sad when they rebuild this block and we lose them.

Best Chinese in the Frelard/Greenwood area. Fun to watch them cook it right in front of you, always have interesting meals for their own lunch. Friendly staff, fast preparation and delicious food.

Lots of options and lunch vs dinner specials. Ask for higher spice, they are geared for local low tolerance star values.

Large family table with rotating center for sharing, small private tables for couples. Come enjoy the food or order for take out like I often do.

Ordered for delivery. First time. Food had very little flavor. Beef was grey, like it had been boiled. Orange chicken was 75% soggy breading. Sometimes hard to tell if there was meat. At least the shrimp with noodles had shrimp and didn't make me worried I was going to get food poisoning. Still bland, though.

Egg rolls and fortune cookies were great.

This is exactly what I want in a Chinese restaurant. Staff were friendly and the food was really good. Best Orange chicken I've ever had.

Chef Liao Asian Fusion Cuisine is a cozy little spot conveniently located near the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. It’s a perfect choice for a quick and satisfying lunch after a morning of exploring the zoo.

The portions here are incredibly generous, so come with an appetite! The service was impressively fast and very friendly, which made for a pleasant dining experience.

I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, which came with white rice, hot and sour soup, and an egg roll. The Pad Thai was flavorful and well-balanced, with just the right amount of tanginess and sweetness. I also tried the Sweet and Sour Chicken, which was delicious but, in hindsight, I would recommend asking for the sweet and sour sauce on the side. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it would have allowed for a bit more control over the flavor.

Overall, Chef Liao is a fantastic spot for a hearty, delicious meal with quick service and a welcoming atmosphere. If you’re in the area, especially after a trip to the zoo, it’s definitely worth a visit!
