Food is authentic/Not localized. I have went this place couple times in past few years not only for the hotpot but also for some other great snacks they provides such as bean soup, picked vegetables and meat. The service is enthusiastic but not smart, may learn from Haidilao on how they retain their customers. Also, this restaurant should invent something new, same dishes and type/quality of broth, no change in past couple of years. I may not return due to losing the most fun part of dining experience with this restaurant.

Not all you can eat, but the store atmosphere is very nice. The plate per order isn't too expensive either. We spend about $100 for two.
Update from 4 stars to 1
The hostess was quite rude. We came in for four people and watched many others who came after us get tables before us.

Although hot pot is known for their meats, Chengdu Memory is incredibly accommodating for vegans. All the soups have a meat base, including the mushroom, BUT you can request it with a water base instead. Additionally, waiters will double check and ask you if you have any dietary restrictions ALONG with the menu having a dietary restriction option! I’d recommend Chengdu because of how helpful the staff are and the abundance of tofu and veggie options. You can also eat with your Omni friends since they can give you split broths! I have been to several of the Hot pot restaurants in the area, and this it truly the best. The quality of the food is top notch, the attention to detail for their cleanliness is impressive, and the service is A++++. This place is well worth the waite to get in.

It is the most affordable hotpot place with amazing quality for the price. Me and friends got a whole tray of lamb for around 26$ for three people it definitely made us full. We also ordered noodles, fish roe dumplings, tofu skin, and enoki mushrooms, all were super solid and nothing bad. Highly recommend.
Also they seal package your leftover meats and other stuff if you ask! I’ve never seen any other hotpot place that does that.

Terrible experience at Chengdu. We came as a large group, including several small children, and were told by a young hostess that the wait time for a table would be about an hour.
We were fine with that at first but what happened next was completely unacceptable. We ended up waiting over two hours, while watching group after group that arrived long after us being seated with no issue. When we finally asked for an update, the staff gave a rude, dismissive response, basically telling us we’d have to wait until every other customer finished eating as if our time and presence didn’t matter at all.
The staff’s attitude was disrespectful and unprofessional from the start. There was no apology, no explanation, no effort to accommodate or even speak politely. It honestly felt like we were being ignored on purpose and yes, discrimination seemed very clear.
There were young kids with us, waiting hours with no food, no communication, and no respect. That’s not just bad service that’s a complete failure of basic hospitality and human decency.
I won’t be back, and I’ll be telling my friends and community to avoid Chengdu. There are plenty of better restaurants that treat people with respect. This one isn’t worth your time or money.

Restaurantji Recommends
On a business trip to Seattle I had a craving for Hot Pot, so I convinced my colleague to join me. We researched which one was worth going to and decided on Chengdu Memory.
First off, the name isn’t great, but fortunately the food was stellar! We went for the Pork Bone Broth, since my colleague can’t handle too much spice. We then hit up the iPad and started ordering. The menu is extensive and has a plethora of options with a wide variety of meats, seafood and veggies. The quality of the meat was high, as well as the veggies. As for seafood, we ordered the fish fillets and the sliced abalone… the latter sounded great, but probably would skip it next time. The sauce bar has an extensive selection of things to choose from, along with a poster of recommended sauce combos. They do charge $2.95 per person for the sauce bar, which is a first for me.
The restaurant itself gets loud, but in a good way and the service staff is very attentive and nice.
The next time I come back, I’d definitely consider returning!

They offer limited parking spots— just ask the front host and they will give you a permit. When busy, I recommend parking on the hills behind the store.
Food is amazing and service is great!

Genuinely such a lovely experience. Kind staff especially with how busy it was (full house). Amazing food, reasonable prices. Will come here every time I'm in the area from here on out. Thanks!
