My partner and I found Darkalino's when searching for best meatballs in Seattle, and they did not disappoint! Everything here is excellent, the focaccia with the disco sauce, the pastas, and the salads, etc. The staff is awesome and it's in a great location near the stadiums so you can get some quality food before a game. We love this spot so much that we had our wedding dinner of 8 here! Jamie and her team was exceptional - extremely responsive and communicative, helped with sourcing flowers for the table, workied with us on the menu, etc. Cannot recommend Darkalino's enough!

Happy hour deal is the only reason it’s not a 1 star. From the second we walked in the Rudeness from the staff was present from not being able to be shown where to sit to the slamming of water on the table and getting ignored the whole time with the original waitress making gestures to her coworkers in the middle of everyone, rushing our order, taking our food without asking if we were finished, sending 2 other coworkers to get us boxes and accept payment. Overall awful experience. Not sure if someone had a bad day or what but overall felt uncomfortable from start to finish.
Will not be returning nor recommending to anyone - not even for the happy hour based solely off the experience with the staff.

Great food, the pasta came piping hot and was actually al dente, plus great vibe and friendly servers. The happy hour has great deals with outdoor seating.

Customer focus is way lacking all of a sudden. We were left sitting unspoken to for 10 minutes, missing the opportunity to order on the Happy Hour menu. Lame. The 2$ difference doesn't break anyone's bank, but it would have served to build customer loyalty, if HH price had been applied and an apology made for not coming to us sooner. Too bad. 4$ could have bought the restaurant a brand ambassador, Iinstead it irritated me enough to write this as I sit here.

Clams come with bacon bits which is unnecessary and not listed on menu- and they’re also low quality shellfish. Service was poor- lots of tables with long waits and messed up orders. Pasta was decent.

We really liked this place (more than the 3 stars I'm giving). The food was great, and so was the server...but she was overwhelmed with too many tables. The bigger issue tho was it appeared they had no bartender. We ordered our 2nd drink, and after 20 minutes it hadn't come while others around us got their drinks (who ordered after us.. Though a few of them asked how much longer it would be). When you looked inside there was no one behind the bar and the server kept saying 'the bar was backed up'. We finally said something, and the server when in and talked to someone... Then you could see our drink being made. It was clearly forgotten. After 30 minutes we received the drink with a 'here you go'. I totally get it that things happen, and maybe they were understaffed. But that's not our problem and frankly the delay should have been recognized and the drink should have been comp'd.

100% recommended for happy hour!! I got the vodka sauce pasta for $13, and thought there's no way this portion size is going to fill me up but it did! A simple but reallyyy well made dish (pasta perfectly cooked; sauce super fresh, flavorful and coating the pasta beautifully), enough to sell me on this place and come again to try other menu items 🙌
I noticed some reviews about the music issue inside too. Yes it's not unnoticeable, but it's not that loud that you can't even have a conversation. However, majority of the people did sit outside on the patio - they have ample seating and it's perfect for a nice summer day

Me and my friend went here on a whim, I had the Clam Sauce and she the Uncle Johnny's Sauce + meatballs and they were to DIE for!! The pasta was cooked to perfection and our waitress Denise gave good suggestions and she was spot on!
Im not a connoisseur of Italian food by any means but the quality of the food here is enough to knock your socks off if you don't have Italian all the time!

I have been actively avoiding this restaurant even though a lot of my friends swear by the food. The reason being is that they play LOUD music and I’m not a fan of blaring music while dining. I did try the restaurant yesterday as it was nice a a dry day so we sat outside and I’m glad to say they weren’t playing any music at all. The service was great and the food is good they make their own pasta in house and we got the salad which was perfectly seasoned even though they forgot the shrimp, we also had the antipasti and garlic bread with their o house dipping sauce. And I ended up getting the pasta in brown butter and cheese it was divine. Would I come back sure as long as they aren’t playing loud music I’m in

Just not my type of place,
And who puts mayo on a meatball sandwich ? These people do. Yuck
Came in for a quick dinner with a friend, before going to the baseball game.
The staff was very welcoming and nice.
The food and drinks were great. We shared 2 different pastas and they both were delicious. Good portion size.
The place itself was a bit loud for my taste but overall a good experience.
The happy hour goes wild, daily from 2-5pm is a really good deal. The focaccia with the dipping oil is freaking delicious. I didn't try much other than the bread, a cocktail, and beer. But overall thought this place was pretty decent. I would come back to try a pasta. My friend said theirs was a little oily (uncle johnnys pasta), but it is a oil based pasta dish. Cannot beat the $5 focaccia!!!
Meh..I ordered the Chicken Parm because of all the great reviews and for the amount charged I was very underwhelmed..not horrible but nothing special..maybe if you're from an area with lousy Italian food you might be fine with it.
Additionally, pasta is an additional plate/charge so in order to skirt that small issue, at least from the owner's POV, perhaps order the spaghetti dish off the children's menu..I did and the sauce was basically ketchup and water..horrible.
Actually, subjecting a child to that kind of lousy sauce is nothing short of child abuse..
