Casual, convivial and delicious! Great place for vegetarians and vegans. I was intrigued when I kept driving by Frelard and seeing the TAMALES sign. I finally popped in and it was soul satisfying. Excellent service... You prop a flag up on your table when you're ready to order.
I had the bean and cheese tamale with an excellent guacamole. I also had the vegan horchata... It was not over sweet, really smooth. I loved it. There's a list of regular tamale flavors...

Frelard tamales catered my partner’s work Xmas party last night- and it was the first time I had their food and it was SO GOOD. I actually have never really liked tamales but these are incredible! Excellent moisture and textures and all the filling options were delicious. Their guacamole, chips, rice and refried beans were also delicious! They are now on my radar and so glad to know about this delicious spot.

I ordered salsa roja pork. love the meat and it is so tasty! I think it would be better to eat tamales with rice. their rice and the green sauce are sooo delicious!
The staff is really friendly even noticed me when I spilled the sauce into my scarf and the staff brought me the wet and dry towel. so kind!
