I want to love this place because it’s a neighborhood spot and their food and coffee are pretty good. But their service is SO unbelievably slow even with like 5 people behind the counter. Of the 4 times I’ve ordered a sandwich here, it’s taken almost an hour (once longer than an hour) though I’m always quoted 15-20 min. If they would tell me it actually is going to be an hour, I wouldn’t have ordered.

I haven't spent too much time around Eastlake, but on a beautiful Sunday morning I decided to try a new coffee place! At around 10 AM, a line was growing out of Grand Central Bakery. They have a limited drink menu and a ton of delicious looking bread and pastry items. I got a chai and also a coffee cake, which size wise, was huge. The chai was on the sweet side but really spiced so great. The coffee cake was amazing. I forgot to take a photo until I had halfway finished it so just went for it, but it easily could serve 2 people. Will be back!

We’ve come here twice and neither time was impressive. The first, we ordered a croissant sandwich and they served it cold. We asked for them to warm it up, they said no.The second time, we tried to order biscuit breakfast sandwiches because a friend told us they’re amazing, and they were out of biscuits. ? We ordered a peppermint latte and they were out of whipped cream.I just don’t see what the hype is about. I’ve been to way better bakeries.

5 stars down to 2 with the move across the street. Limited indoor seating. Had 4 plates of food with nowhere to sit. Pastry case is smaller than before. Lost the local vibe with pictures on the wall of behind the scenes baking. ….and latte is burnt. This place went downhill overnight. Had been regulars from 2020 now. Feels like a franchised/chain location. End of an era ?

The long awaited move! Grand Central finally moved across the street to a bigger location. With the upgraded, comes with more customers. More often than not you’ll see the place PACKED before noon, with a 20 minute wait on seasonal sandwiches.Pros: reliable, consistent, fresh baked goods. Kind staff, bright & welcoming environment.Cons: not cheap, long wait for sandwich, too upbeat for quiet studying, chairs are not best for long term sitting.

Old location: Cashier told me to leave because I had my dog with me. I only needed to pay and take to go. No good.New location: I asked the cashier to please warm up a pastry for me. It was a croissant. He refused. He even said that next time I should order something else. Hmm, what? No good.

I think this place has amaaazing baked goods, however I was not too impressed with the sandwich I ordered.Decided to try their Bristol Bay sandwich, which has smoked salmon on it. $15.50 for a sandwich this size is a little much...With my latte and sandwich I spent over $22 which I don’t think was quite worth it in the end. However, I have heard some great recommendations for this place so I think I’ll stop by again sometime to try their other food items! The steak sandwich looked promising!

Love their new space across the street! Very welcoming and light. The line was pretty quick but I waited on my breakfast sandwich to be made for about 20mins. They were also out of croissants despite it being 10:30 in the morning and they stay open till 4pm. Their signs in the foyer made it difficult for people to leave b/c it blocked off half the walkway space.

Busy Sunday morning and we dropped by for sandwiches, This was the Turkey Deluxe, does it look deluxe? Sandwich that costs $15 after tax and tip, shouldn't you have more? I think quality has diminished and you can walk down to the Eastlake market and get a deli sandwich there or a Eastlake cofee for some sandwiches too.

The service at the Eastlake store is sooooo slow. 10 minute wait in line to order and 20 wait for an egg biscuit. Happened to me twice in a row.
