Relaxed place with very friendly staff and patrons. They have a drink for every budget, from cheap well drinks to get drunk to high end cocktails. I've had great connections and dates here. If you miss guillotine you're missing out on one of the better bars in seattle.
The big draws on the menu weren't actually available; happy hour drinks were expensive. When we walked in we had to step over some guy playing Mario kart, who turned out to be an employee. Didn't seem to be anyone there besides people who worked there and their friends? But service was super slow anyway. Probably fun at midnight if you know someone who works there. Feels like a trust fund kid's pet project that they're already bored with. Wanted to like it...
guillotine feels like a hidden gem in capitol hill. really solid food and drinks with a beautiful interior and great vibes. it deserves much more hype from the community. we will be back to support.
