The goat meat with spiced rice (bariis) and tender suqaar are perfectly seasoned and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, paired with fluffy sabaayad flatbread and that fiery green sauce. Don’t miss the aromatic spiced tea (shah)—it’s the perfect finish. Everything halal, fresh, generous portions, and super welcoming vibe. Best Somali spot around; already planning my next visit!“

“We came in yesterday with a group of 12 women from our book club, and the owner was incredibly accommodating and kind. The food was healthy, fresh, and full of flavor, which is so refreshing in a world of overly processed “fast food.” I had the warm honey cardamom tea (so cozy!), the cauliflower appetizer, and took the grilled chicken bowl home to share with my husband. The owner even surprised us with a coconut whipped cream dessert, which was such a sweet touch. One of the staff members (I wish I had gotten his name!) was so patient and helpful while I asked a ton of questions about recommendations. We’re already looking forward to coming back for another book club meetup and more visits in between!“

I opted for just the Cheesecake as the neighborhood looked a little sketchy to be waiting around cluelessly. Mama was so sweet and endearing she gave me sambusas too. The food is always incredibly juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. You can really taste the quality and freshness in every bite.

I actually catered my wedding from here three years ago, and it was a huge hit with all our guests — everyone loved it.

Customer service is amazing — the staff are friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, which makes the whole experience even better.

“Their Pad Kra Pao never misses. The setup is a little weird if you aren't used to it. Commissary kitchen, so multiple restaurants operating in the same place from a takeout window. But they are always really nice. Just have to flag them down sometimes because they are busy.

However, the true pièce de résistance was the heavenly honey and cream, perfectly paired with crusty bread - a flavor combination that bordered on sublime. “My husband and I had the bacon burger, fries, onion rings, and chocolate-peanut butter milkshakes. Everything was FANTASTIC! The burger sauce was amazing, it's smokey instead of tangy, and really went well with the bacon and grilled onion on the burgers. The fries were really crunchy and well-seasoned, and the milkshake was make with real ice cream. The guy in the kitchen came out and I complimented his burger sauce, so he gave me a couple of small containers to take home with me! I don't make it to this area often, but I am absolutely coming back here the next time I do.“

“The food is delicious . Everything is made with pride . It’s all fresh and made in house . Since it’s fresh and made to order , you will have to wait . It is worth it . I highly recommend the Greek french fries , amazing. Also I would not skip the chai tea or baklava, both so good. Friendly family business that appreciates its customers. The only thing I did not like was not their fault . Customers constantly talking loudly on cell phone , incredibly annoying ringers going off from multiple phones, some very loud voices . It’s a tiny place with close tables so hear everything. It has lovely lighting from beautiful lamps and is nicely decorated. I just wish some of the customers more considerate .“

“I happened upon this food truck by luck. I had never tried Somalia cuisine before, and was curious First I was greated by friendly smiling faces that made me feel immediately welcomed. They handed me a menu, with pictures, that I could look at without staring at the menu board. I decided on a Sambusa as an appetizer because it looked and sounded like a Samosa. My entree was a Bariis chicken bowl with a side salad. It was fabulous! The Sambusa was shaped like a Samosa, but different. The pastry was delicate like a puff pastry and the filling was simple lean ground beef, served with mild or spicy dipping sauce. The Bariis chicken bowl was flavorful, fresh and full of flavor. Perfectly balanced. I will look for this food truck again.“

“Today was our first time visiting Seattle and we were craving some Indian food. Taste of Indian did NOT disappoint me. The Tikka masala and naan were phenomenal. The service was also amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere was also very relaxed and welcoming. I was given a complimentary refill of my reisling and they also give you a little slice of cheesecake at the end of your meal. Whether you are going for a date night or a family meal, this place is a perfect option. If we are ever visiting Seattle again, we will be returning to this spot!“

“Delicious Arab style falafel- super crispy, good balance of ingredients, pita was fresh and the whole thing had the perfect flavor! I accidentally ordered from a different location and showed up here and the man working there was very kind and decided to make my order for me even though it was already ready at the other spot. “We visited Local Bigger Burger yesterday and were thoroughly impressed. The availability of halal options made the meal even more enjoyable. We tried the sriracha burger, Smash, Bacon Cheddar, chicken wings, and jalapeño poppers—all packed with great flavor—and the fries were perfectly crisp. “The food is ok. Nothing extra ordinary, but its really difficult for me to understand why they add 18% tips by default. Even for group of 4 or just one person for that matter. Price of food really on higher side with minimum quantity. Another thing is you cant split a bill. So on one table they only accept one credit card. This place is not for celebrating with friends for that reason.“

The only reason I removed a star for atmosphere is just aesthetic - the colors and paint job inside don't match the quality of the food. I could tell though that the owner put much more thought into the kitchen and quality of food though which as a customer, I really appreciate. I hope this place thrives enough to get some funds to redecorate so the vibe matches the deliciousness of the food being served.“
