I came here with a girlfriend for a chill happy hour evening and Hannyatou didn't disappoint. The only negative was that I couldn't order soba from next door... I even tried asking twice, but no luck. I get it though, but had to ask anyway. The bar food here was tasty. We pretty much ordered everything off the menu. My favorites were the egg salad/ikura sando for sure.
Love this place, it's really a sake joint with great happy hour and some authentic Japanese drinking food (think appetizers, snacks, finger food). They host sake events and the owner circulates different companies and brands of sake from Japan. This is one of my favorite bars in Seattle! The food is always bangin and their cocktails are always tasty. They make good shochu recommendations too!Come here if you want to experience a little slice of japan or learn about sake and shochu. Do not come here expecting an American experience and definitely dont come here super hungry. Its a bar with bar bites.
