we stumbled upon this filipino cafe while walking around chinatown. the reviews looked good so we gave it a shot.first, such cute decor and nice lighting. we were greeted warmly by the cashier and i knew this would immediately be great. sadly they ran out of decaf, but i'm willing to compromise for getting the dangerously delicious ube latte.no idea how they got such a stunning color, but damn it was addicting to look at and to drink.

My family and I just attempted (around 2:50 on 3/15/24) to eat at Hood Famous, but felt uncomfortable due to the cashier’s attitude and demeanor when we asked simple questions. It was our first time there (he didn’t even acknowledge us when we walked in) so we said that we would like a table for three and if there was availability, we were met with a condescending gaze and a cold “yes”. We were excited to eat here because there’s so little Filipino representation back at home, but instead we were looked down on for not knowing how the café operated. We were hoping he would continue to explain how to order, provide any recommendations, or just any insight to make the food/drink ordering process easy but he just stood there silently and stared at us.

Their coffees are 9-10/10. I’ve tried a lot of ube lattes; their ube latte was the best I’ve ever had. A lot of unique flavors here. I was able to adjust the sweetness which I appreciate. Overall I highly

Really hate to give small businesses bad reviews but I paid almost 7$ for a mid latte & couldn’t even get basic wifi??This latte also was so sweet & had barely any coffee notes in it. Definitely do not recommend coming here if you want to get a good tasting drink & get school work or work done. I had to go find another cafe nearby and spend more money to use their wifi. Day was ruined.Sometimes small businesses also need to be held accountable to improve.

Very cute cafe with a wide selection of food and baked goods. The staff is lovely, very helpful and I've had nothing but great customer service here! I would highly recommend the arroz caldo and ube latte. Their pan de sal is tasty as well, I've had it alone and with the breakfast sandwich. Overall, I would recommend for tasty food, drinks and cute ambiance!
Best spot for Filipino desserts! Get the ube cookies or any of the cheesecakes. You won’t regret it.
