“As vegetarians, my wife and I usually struggle to find good options for hot pot, but this place was a pleasant surprise! They offer several vegetarian-friendly broths, and the Mala and Tom Yum (without shrimp) were our favorites. The variety of fresh ingredients and dipping sauces ensures there’s something to suit everyone’s taste. Highly recommend for vegetarian hot pot lovers!“

“We scanned the QR code and ordered from our phone. Not a fan of putting wait staff out of jobs. The staff there was attentive and came by to answer questions. A way to sort dishes by spice level would have been helpful cause that was a filter for us but when we asked they said they could make it any spice level we wanted in the comments. They did have a sort for their. OST popular dishes which was helpful “not to miss” category which the staff pointed us to. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom I visited was clean except there was urine on the floor from someone with poor aim recently (we got there when they opened). We had the beef and green beans, cumin pork and chicken fried rice. The cumin pork has great flavor and was my favorite however the pork was in small bone pieces and fatty so you had to be careful and have strong teeth (to tear) to eat the dish IMHO. It was well done, dry and definitely crunchy. It would have been good to have a sauce to get more moisture in the dish. I found it best to use my fingers to eat the pork. The beans and beef was perfectly cooked and beef strips and very tender - not fatty. There was a sauce in the dish but it didn’t have that much flavor but when mixed with the rice and pork helped to moisturize the drier dishes. The chicken fried rice was average and didn’t have much special flavor. We were looking for dishes that weren’t too spicy and we got that so my review reflects our desire to keep the heat low. Service was very fast and attentive, but wasn’t too busy either. Overall a pleasant experience and I felt good value cause we ordered 3 dishes, left full and with some leftovers. I would visit again.“

“This Shabu Shabu House is by far the best Shabu Shabu House in the entire Seattle metropolitan area. I know, I’ve been to all of them. I first fell in love with shabu shabu when I was in Asia, and this place doesn’t disappoint. I’m very picky. The meat quality is excellent, the buffet of raw vegetables and additional items is very full and varied, they have all the sauces, spices and flavorings you could want. The place is very well lit and clean, which is important to me because I’ve been places before that are dark you just can’t see whether or not the place is really clean. And on top of that, the air is fresh. I’ve been to hot pot restaurants before where there’s so much steam in the air that you get the smell of garlic and herbs and meat throughout your clothes and hair and you walk out and you stink. This place has solved that and you don’t experience that at all. Also, the owner here is clearly a details and quality guy and very professional. I’ve spoken to him and he was extremely friendly and proud of his restaurant. You can tell that he pays attention to quality in his choices. The soft serve is complementary, but it’s the highest quality soft serve I’ve had. It’s rich and creamy like ice cream not icy like every other complementary soft serve at every other place. All in all I highly recommend this restaurant and I wouldn’t go to any other shabu shabu place. I drive 40 minutes to get here and it’s worth it.“

“I had a great experience here for hot pot! The prices are really reasonable, and the food was delicious. The service was okay, but it was a bit crowded since we went just before Christmas, so I understand. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and I’ll definitely be back!“

“$14.99 per lb. Plenty of options to fill your bowl. Bone broth 2 star was what and my girlfriend ordered. It wasn’t too hot but very tasty.
They have many multiple broth options, besides the bone broth.
Seating is very limited, would recommend going non peak hours. You can also get take out at this place.
Definitely would go again.“

“Came here on a last-minute whim when my (raised in Taiwan) parents were visiting and requested Taiwanese food on a weekday evening. The restaurant was completely empty, but the staff was super friendly and helpful, the food came out fast, and the taste was super nostalgic. I'll definitely be back.“

“We visited for an early Saturday dinner and were warmly welcomed by a waiter who thoughtfully walked us through the menu and the sauce bar. Soft drinks were included, which was a nice touch. While the meat selection wasn’t extensive, it was more than sufficient—and impressively high in quality given the price point. A variety of ready-to-eat dishes and appetizers were also available, each offering satisfying flavors. We specifically enjoyed the chicken wings. Overall, it was a delightful evening, and we’re already looking forward to returning.“

“This feels like a hidden gem? The food and service were good. We had complimentary hot tea, hard to enjoy on a warm day but welcomed. I ordered the garlic eggplant, water boiled fish, and one of the lamb dish that had onions. Everything came out so delicious and as I expected from previous sichuanese restaurant experiences. The food is served family style on a large plate with one serving spoon. It can be difficult to eat the food with chopsticks as it gets oily real quick but they provide a spoon upon request. I would love to come back as often as possible if I were closer. It's also pretty affordable for the amount of food received.“
“Qingshu Hot Pot is a malatang - “you pay for what you eat” - style restaurant. You grab a plate and tongs, select your ingredients for your hotpot soup, and the staff weigh your ingredients to determine the price. The base price is $14.99 / 1lb and the minimum weight you can get is 0.8 lb.
They had a decent variety of ingredients spanning from vegetables, noodles, protein, and seafood. Some of the ingredients had labels (the meats and several of the seafood options) but some others did not, so as long as you’re familiar with what malatang restaurants generally serve, then picking the right ingredients that suite your palate shouldn’t be too difficult. Hopefully as the restaurant gains more recognition, the ingredient variety can expand. One of the favorite toppings was the mochi fish cake (tastes nothing special but had a unique texture) and the lobster ball (fishball filled with lobster flavored roe).
Broth selection was vast with a whopping 9 different broths to choose from. After paying for the meal, the staff cooks your ingredients with your chosen broth and they bring your bowl to you. Mid-meal, the staff brought me the noodles they forgot to put into my soup and they were very apologetic about it. Funnily enough, I didn’t even notice they forgot my noodles but seeing how quick they were to address the mistake shows how much they put in towards giving their customers the best service.
Overall, my experience visiting Qingshu Hot Pot was a good one. I recommend people to visit here! :)“
