I can’t in good conscious give this bar the rating that their drinks deserve because of the mandatory 20% charge on all bills. The waiters and waitresses do not tell you in advance. And the menu puts it in incredibly small writing. You only find out after the fact, and that total amount does not go to the staff. It’s an absolutely terrible way to run a business. Too bad, because the drinks are good, although already expensive even before the 20%.
Couldn’t recommend it enough, I love tiki bars and this was one of my favorites. The drinks are great, the staff were all incredibly friendly and really developed the atmosphere. The care put into the drink design and presentation was definitely a highlight, and really captured that classic tiki bar experience.
The bad; the drinks were rather strong and didn't have much taste, it's more like they put a bunch of shots in a cup. The server was nice in the beginning but got a little condescending towards the end. The good; the food was excellent genuinely very good. The atmosphere was amazing. It was like being in the theme park and it wasn't tacky. It just went very well together. Yes it is expensive. Is in Seattle. It's in Bellevue. It's kind of to be expected.
