Ivar’s is lively, especially during lunch—waterfront views of ferries and the Sound make it worth the wait. The staff was friendly and efficient, though tables filled up fast. The chowder was rich and satisfying, but the sourdough rolls felt pricey for their size. Parking near the piers was a hassle, but the atmosphere and seafood dishes (like the butterscotch rum drink) made it memorable. Next time, I’d grab a seat earlier to secure a waterfront...

I ordered an appetizer the Ahi tuna plate for lunch thinking I wouldn't eat to much and once the food was served I ordered a second one to go it was the best I've ever had I definately recommend you eat at Ivars achers of clams when ever you're in the down town waterfront area!!

I went here for a large family dinner (15 people) and it was a pleasant experience. The staff was very helpful when asked questions about the menu and patient when it came to ordering for a large crowd. I like that there was a variety of drinks for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
