Ashak

Kabuli Palaw
Afghanistan's famous rice dish, served vegetarian. Included with most of our entrees, this is a generous portion of basmati rice with a special blend of saffron, black pepper, cardamom, coriander and cumin. Salata
Cubed tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and mint with lemon dressing.
Ash
Traditional noodle soup with kidney beans and chickpeas, yogurt, flavored with dill, turmeric and mint.

A delicious experience from start to finish. We started with appetizers including crushed eggplant and finished with delicious Firni dessert. Our kebab combination plate came with Badenjan Borani –Eggplant sauteed and served with a delicate layer of a mildly-spiced, tomato-based sauce, topped with yogurt-garlic sauce and sprinkled with mint. This was probably our favorite but it was all delicious. The atmosphere was bustling because they appear to have a full house every...

Saddened to hear the news that Kabul is closing down.

I moved into Wallingford in the 90s and was a regular for five years or more. Great food and atmosphere. I still try to copy their dishes at home.

Sad to hear Kabul’s is closing! We love everything about the place. The food, ambiance, and most of all, Wali moving through the dining room and engaging with the customers. Wali, we love you and wish you the best of everything in whatever comes next.
