Honestly I was a little disappointed by the food here, although we did only order small plates as we had recently eaten. We got the Seattle dog musubi which was very interesting and exactly what you'd imagine, so very well executed. We also got the cauliflower karaage which was good, but I almost felt like the taste was too overpowering (very sweet). Our cocktail was good though with the shiso salt. I'd probably come back at some point to try the main dishes.

Food not worth its price. The Pork Katsu Curry was extremely dry, and not crispy, and the cabbage that came with it you could tell was not fresh. The Loco Moco Egg was decent. The waitress also took about 20 minutes to check up on us after eating to hand us the check. The menu selection was a pretty small selection as well. Would not go again.

I am Japanese. This is a really dangerous place. When I was an international student, I was the only Japanese student here. When I entered, I heard a voice that was clearly Japanese, exclaiming ``Welcome!!'' and the atmosphere was not that different from a Japanese izakaya, making me feel strange for a moment as if I had actually returned to Japan. .Both the food and the sake served have a very Japanese flavor, and it's one of the best among Japanese izakaya restaurants. As a result, most of my friends who were there, including myself, started missing Japan. If you live nearby and want to try a Japanese izakaya, it's a million times better to go here than to come to Japan and go to a poorly run, incomprehensible izakaya.Japanese students staying in Seattle for a long time should not go. It really reminds me of Japan and makes me want to go back...

I sat at the bar top with my brother, who I haven't seen in so long!! Our bartender, Azzy, gave us such a great experience! She gave us great service and still gave us the privacy to have an intimate conversation on the bar top. Will be coming back for sure!!!PS: get the nashville karaage and gyu don! So delicious and filling.

Update (March 2024): We went back last week. Sooooo good. Just go here and eat their food and enjoy the vibe.We had an excellent dinner last night. Everything coming out of the kitchen was spot on. Good cocktails and sake too. And a cool, relaxed vibe. Definitely coming back!

The reviews aren’t wrong—excellent creative gastropub food with a Japanese twist. The aubergine was surprisingly good. Loco moco and tikka tonkatsu also great.

The food is fantastic. The katsu curry with a tikka masala twist is my new favorite meal. The place has a fun, bustling neighborhood vibe.

Had a great meal at Itsumono. Interesting menu with good quality options, everything we tried was at least very good (Hainanese chicken risotto, loco moco scotch egg, ma po mushroom noodles, tikka tonkotsu don, yuzu cauliflower and hamachi crudo).Real standouts were the loco moco scotch egg and the ma po mushroom noodles but I’d happily get any of these again.+1 star because they have a menu with very good meat, vegetarian and vegan options. Many restaurants don’t try at all to cater to vegans, which means as soon as your group includes someone with a vegan diet you can’t go there at all (or put another way, I can never go because my wife eats a vegan diet). Or at best, there’s some sad plain low-effort thing. Itsumono actually tries with good vegan appetizers and mains, so we will happily return with others.Vegetarian options: Ma Po mushroom noodles and yuzu cauliflower karaage were great

Nice restaurant with decent amount of seating. We ordered the loco LOCO MOCO SCOTCH EGG, TIKKA TONKATSU DON, YUZU KAULIFLOWER KARAAGE, I really enjoyed the loco moco, it was seasoned well and very unique with the egg inside the meat, definitely great for photos. The cauliflower was extremely flavorful and I would definitely order again. My partner wasn’t crazy about the tonkatsu but he said it was good enough and I rated it a solid 8/10. This was a celebration dinner (noted this on the reservation) and our server Bri was kind enough to bring us the ANDAGI donuts - which were absolutely Mouth watering and I will definitely order these next time).A few things to note: we tried eating here once but they said they were fully booked although the place looked empty (I think they take reservations very serious so make sure you reserve in advance- a deposit is needed but refunded if you show up!).Vegetarian options: They have a few veggie dish options for those who are vegetarian or vegan
