This place is hands down the best tonkatsu spot in the Seattle area! The katsu is incredibly crispy on the outside, but perfectly juicy and tender on the inside. You can tell they use high-quality meat. The portions are great, and the atmosphere is super cozy. If you're looking for authentic, top-tier tonkatsu, Kobuta & Ookami is absolutely the place to go. Highly recommend!
We ordered the chicken katsu and it was delicious! The chicken was soft on the inside but also crispy on the outside which is rare for chicken katsu. The little card they add to the tray on how to eat the meal is awesome and I loved the touch of grinding sesame seeds to add a nutty flavor to the sauce! I’d definitely recommend to anyone who’s visiting Seattle and loves katsu.
Love this place! katsu is not typically my go to because they always feel greasy but not here. All the dishes are excellent!
The most unexpected dish to taste great was the tomato cheese - try it!
No need to get the top cut, the Rosu cut tastes just as delicious.
