I’m visiting from Japan. This was my first time having authentic Mexican cuisine. Everything was delicious, with natural flavors that really highlighted the quality of the ingredients.
Great little Mexican restaurant. Although I'm not a formal critic or best authority on Mexican food authenticity, got one of the house specialties, mole, and it was great. Flavors were super rich and unique. My son got the pork ribs (as I recall) and he enjoyed them as well. The portions were spot on - not too much / not too little. Lots of Mexican food options on Ballard Ave, but you can’t beat Carta. Friendly service, great food, good prices. Took my mom here for a birthday dinner—she loved the music and the meal.
