Mabel Reviews
I am super fussy about coffee and coffee shops. I actually do java crawls on international coffee day. But here is the classic Seattle coffee house. Great java, home made goodies, not fancy, with a great big room in the back for reading or board games. They even have a commuter special with coffee, breakfast, and a bus pass.
With Seattle changing so much (Royal
Drummer, blah), take a trip down memory lane and see a real coffee house of yesterday’s Seattle.

Mabel is a welcoming restaurant, known for its cozy atmosphere and unique touches like vinyl music. It is a local spot tucked away in a residential area, making it a great place to recharge. The coffee options are a highlight, featuring specialty drinks such as lavender lattes, London fogs, and seasonal choices like the salty honey lavender mocha. There is also bulletproof coffee on the menu, which adds to the variety. With ample seating, including some armchairs, it serves as a cherished community resource, perfect for remote workers, meetings, or simply enjoying a well-prepared drink. The staff are friendly and greet customers warmly upon arrival, creating chill vibes that enhance the experience. While outdoor seating may not be ideal due to its location on a busier street, the indoor space is wonderful for relaxing. Customers have noted the delicious cookies and seasonal drinks, like the cherry mocha, which adds to the charm of the place. Although there have been some inconsistencies in coffee quality in the past, Mabel remains a go-to spot for many, especially for those who appreciate a generous hang-out area and the opportunity to enjoy the quiet sounds of a cafe.
