The best part of the food was definitely the dessert. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy my main meal very much. It tasted and smelled extremely fishy, which was not pleasant at all and made it difficult to enjoy. I also tried the beef, and it had an unpleasant smell as well. I think they could do a much better job preparing the food and removing these strong smells. On the positive side, the staff were polite and friendly.
One of those places you have to hit when you visit a new city. The food is authentic and tastes amazing. This was my second time and it was every bit as good as the first. If you're in Seattle, just go. You won't regret it.
Reservation two weeks in advance highly advised, texting only. Good food in an intimate space, there's plenty of options, I recommend the teriyaki chicken for unadventurous eaters, it was delicious! The sake menu is good, nigori sake is good for people who don't like sake.
