If you’re looking for authentic Filipino dishes, Musang is not the place. We were a group of 6 coming in for Saturday brunch. We were seated without reservation. The hostess & owner was very hospitable, and the server was very friendly. We are a big group so we ordered a variety of silogs offered. The chicken tocino didn’t taste like the tocino we are accustomed to. It tasted like chicken Mang Inasal (grilled chicken). Moist and tender but not tocino taste....
OK food and drinks. Took my wife and daughter. Showed up on time. As soon as we finished desert, paid the bill, but not finished our drinks they said they needed the table for the next reservation. By no means had we been lingering. Never had that happen anywhere in the world and after spending $300 totally inappropriate!
My parents are from the Philippines and we all live abroad now. But eating at Musang brought me right back to my childhood and even made me tear up reflecting on all those beautiful memories. Food is such an important part of our culture and Musang not only nailed it - but elevated it without losing the traditions of their dishes. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
