For those of us who are long time patrons of this location as Nell’s and Saleh a Lago before that, the good news is Fotini is carrying on that great tradition in style. Give them a try.
Now under new ownership Nells (now Fotini), has lost some of the grace and attention to detail that once put it in the category of fine dining. The menu is similar, though the execution is less crisp. Unfortunately the front of the house service is slapdash and haphazard, missing the attentive details that make customers feel the dining experience is special. Too bad as the old Nells was reliably out of the ordinary.
I visited with my sister for early dinner on a beautiful Saturday evening. We were greeted immediately and our table ideal - comfortable, great view and felt exclusive. The menu is extensive and interesting which was refreshing. I chose the swordfish as my entree and was delighted with it. Perfect, flaky and moist. Gorgeous presentation too! Dessert was the almond cake and I'm still craving more. The ambience and staff are fabulous. I will be back repeatedly!
