I must say I’ve had a few fantastic dishes from this place (Burmese laphet thoke, Beirut-style hummus, etc.), but then I caught wind of a social media controversy that happened in 2019 when an experienced cook got fired on her first day, apparently bc she complained about unsafe food practices like thawing raw meat in a mop sink + then she posted pics + ppl tried to get #MopMeat to trend + I saw the pics + it’s as nasty as it sounds. Instead of acknowledging need for improvement, Nue chalked it up to bad timing + "she was not a good fit.” Nah, I’m out. I've had food poisoning once + I ain't about to have it twice.

The corn bread and mango salad were my favorite. The drinks were good but the food was better. I enjoyed my chicken curry on a huge bread bowl.

Delicious and good value for money!

Cool spot, very interesting decor. Chengdu spice Chicken wings were some of the best wings I've ever had (perfectly seasoned, perfectly fried)!

Used to like this place but on the recent visit the whole restaurant smelled like old oil.

Get the wings! I'm sad I didn't get to try anything else- we all left with our mouths tingling and happy. I can't wait to eat here again.

Nue is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. They keep things fresh by regularly updating their menu, so there’s almost always something new to try but their staple dishes like the Bunny Chow are consistently delicious. I can always count on Nue for a great meal, service, and vibes

Nue may be hurting due to tariffs and imported ingredients, but there is no reason to blatantly lie. They have downsized portions like crazy. I know that a $24 Burmese salad that used to feed my friends is not the same size as the tiny portion they now serve for the same price. However, Nue was happy to gaslight me. I am a chef. Be honest about the portions and the prices. I will not be going back any time soon. Super sad about this, but there are so many other amazing places in Seattle that have their consumers in mind and their morals in place.
