This restaurant is for the rebels, the rockers, the rule-breakers hankering to order illegal cheese. People who are aren’t afraid of BUTTER, FAT, RICH goodness. No white tablecloths or fussy service will be found here. You are here to eat. And the food is great.
I can’t remember the last time I saw foie gras ice cream on a menu, but I wasn’t surprised to run into it here — a puff of velvet, both sweet and deeply savory, melting into a piece of French toast already so custard-soaked that it could barely hold itself together, the whole thing covered with crushed maple sugar. I’d remembered foie gras ice cream as a gimmick, but maybe I’d remembered it wrong
We came here after reading online some very positive reviews. We had high expectations, based on many of the comments. We were pretty disappointed, unfortunately.
First of all, the servers were great. Very friendly and professional. The food and drinks came out relatively fast. However, that’s where all the positive comments end.
Starting from the cocktails, they felt very basic, not well-mixed and definitely not worth $20+ . Better stick with a glass of wine...
