I've been putting off trying out Off Alley for a while. I could never get a reservation, it was far from my home, etc etc. However, their website said they encouraged walk ins so I spontaneously went one day. I kinda regret postponing it all this time. The menu changes at least once a week (check their insta). It's all written on a chalkboard and it reminded me of the daily specials at the French bistros in Paris. The best way to describe the food at this place is it's off the beaten path (alley?)
The meats here are not something you can find everywhere else. From the most prized (foie gras) to the more normal (frog legs) to the odd (beef liver). And there was what I had - the rabbit kidneys on toast.
