The Palace Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle, and the best of the Tom Douglas group. The staff delivers perfect service, the food is excellent, and it's perfect for a date, a group of friends, or going solo at bar.

Wonderful service, food, and atmosphere. Oysters were amazing, lavender fondue with crunchy grilled bread and apples and pears for dipping never disappoint, steak and trout (de-boned "à table") cooked to perfection in their apple wood smoked grill. Lemon sorbet with olive oil and salt out of this world. We were there for a special occasion and had very special treatment.

Enjoyed the pairing of SIFF Downtown with the Palace Kitchen less than a block away. Had crispy, smooth sweetbreads, the bourride fish soup, and a shrub. Nicely made, flavorful. Dinner partner had his ever-favorite burger there, considering it for years to be the best he's ever had. Great energy, fun staff.Parking: Later in the evening, parking downtown on the street is more available (sometimes free after 8pm), and night parking in garages might be less than $10.

We had bread and 2 drinks for the low, low price of only $40! Yay. A bargain at twice the price! Welcome to Seattle. This is not the old Palace Kitchen that has the best $10 burger in town.

The food and service was phenomenal. The place has an aging vibe, not bad, just a thing.

The starters were outstanding...the cheese fondue was delicious, as well as the mussels and the chicken wings. The mains were just adequate. I had the cod and my husband had the dumplings. We were disappointed that they were very small in helpings and pretty tasteless. So sorry to say, since this used to be one of my favorite Seattle places. Maybe it was just an off night?

As always, it was great. The trout was very delicious, although I was disapspointed I was unabe to have tarter sauce with my trout. I was told the restaurant does use tarter sauce at all at the restaurant.

I went to the Palace Kitchen with business associates. Laura, our server, patiently answered questions about the menu as one member of our party had dietary restrictions and provided attentive service. He decided on the trout which in his words was outstanding. Laura did a great job of deboning the fish for him and one of the other people in the party who had it as well. The beet salad was tasty, the beats were perfectly cooked al dente the way I like them. One member of the party had the hanger steak which was cooked to her specifications. Another member raved about the braised greens that accompanied the trout. I hope to come back the next time I am in Seattle.

First time eating at Palace Kitchen since they reopened and we were very pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was, how friendly and attentive the service, and the overall vibe. We had been disappointed at a couple other of TD's Seattle restaurants where the food was under flavored and overpriced. We had the mussels, the squash, the plin raviolis and the burger. Every dish was top notch delicious. One of the best restaurant meals we've had in a while. Still not cheap but certainly easier to pay Seattle prices when the food is this good. Go try it!

Friendly service, nice ambience. Loved the lavender fondue and pork ravioli starters. Steak was perfect - chargrilled and medium rare - with delicious mash and greens. Made for a lovely date night.

Never heard of the place before. While driving by the day before we, my mother and I, called and were able to get a reservation for a Wednesday night at 18:15 without problem. When we showed up, we found the place packed. Knowing that we had a show to attend at the Paramount theater in a little over an hour, we had no idea what to expect time-wise we were able to order our drinks and food and eat with plenty of time to spare. You know how you're lucky if you can get the waiter/waitress to come by more than once during your meal? Well, our waitress, and even other waitresses, came by no less than five times. Never had service like that before. Every single staff member was remarkably polite And the food was exceptional. A little pricey but would you expect downtown Seattle. I would definitely go againParking: Seattle City street parking You got to pay during certain hours after those hours you do not have to. But if you have disability plates you never have to pay

Tom Douglas restaurants have always been our favorites. Flavor in food, ingredients, variety in menu. Very little of that in our dinner. Cannot tell you what a disappointment it was.

Waiter was helpful with food recommendations as this was our first time visiting. Food (ravioli, French onion soup, burger, coconut pie) was delicious! Also thoughtfully asked about time restraints, so no issue making our concert! Another great Tom Douglas eating experience!
