I would say the food is more Indian inspired than Sri Lanka. As a Sri Lankan, some of the dishes can't be give those names. Like kiribath. That's a dish that has coconut milk. I didn't taste coconut milk at all. I tasted overcooked rice that was pan fried all around. That shouldnt be called kiribath. I was enjoying my experience so much I didn't think to take pictures! I'm not going to lie, I've struggled with the food scene here in Seattle. I've been wanting to try Rupee Bar since I moved here a couple of years ago and finally went last night. I can now say this is one of my favorite restaurants I've been to in Seattle! Delicious Indian apps usually lead to fantastic main courses, and while the roasted cauliflower (only two veg options) was alright, I found it underwhelming (esp for its price), a little heavy in the crunchy dimension.

Having gotten that out of the way, the place is incredibly cozy and inviting. The mood lighting, friendly staff, and incredible array of drinks makes it a perfect date night or a post hike decompress spot.
