Sam's Tavern Reviews
DO NOT GO HERE! They charge a 20% automatic Gratuity PLUS for parties of 6 or more (no where on the menu did it mention this) they charge an ADDITIONAL 20% which is “retained by the business”. I need whoever is reading this to know it is a scam. 1.) they don’t call that additional 20% a tip/gratuity so the business doesn’t get taxed for it 2.) they didn’t put it on the menu so they could slip it on your check without you noticing. Ownership is an absolute joke. Blaming POS Errors that have been proven to continually occur. Also charging forced gratuity with no notification which is illegal.
Sam’s 69, like a French 75, only better … because, DUH. And very tasty chicken tender sliders and onion rings with kicked up versions of Ranch sauce for dipping. Great service and reasonable prices.

Sam's Tavern is a super cool dive with great food that's on par with Seattle locals. The bartenders are helpful and polite, contributing to a laid-back yet energetic ambiance. Customers can hang a dollar on the bar with their names on it, adding a personal touch to the experience. While some mention that the food may be a bit subpar, others have found it affordable and tasty, especially the breakfast burrito. The drinks are decently priced, including a $2 Rainier special, and the service is quick, with impressive staff managing multiple tables effortlessly. The atmosphere is lively, although the lighting may not be ideal and cleanliness could be improved. Overall, Sam's Tavern is a great spot for a weekly hangout and has become a favorite for many, especially those enjoying a bloody mary. It is important to note that the venue is 21+ only.
