Took my boyfriend to Smith Tower since he’s never been. Definitely a fun way to experience a slice of Seattle history with a view! We went right when they opened at noon, which was perfect because it wasn’t crowded yet.
The Observatory Bar is super convenient, you can just kick back, sip on a cocktail, and soak in those gorgeous 360 deg panoramic views of the city, the Sound, and beyond. It’s giving old-school charm with a cozy, vintage vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another era.
Scott was our bartender and it happened to be his first day, poor guy was definitely thrown into the fire trying to figure out where everything was! But despite the chaos, he handled it like a champ and made some mean cocktails. Cheers to you, Scott!
If you’re looking for a chill bar to enjoy the views without the typical touristy chaos, come early, grab a drink, and enjoy one of Seattle’s gems!

The place was very scattered, but everyone was trying their best. I honestly don't wanna give a bad review because all the servers were trying hard to rectify the situations and I appreciate that.
I paid to see the observatory and didn't need to as a tourist. So don't. Just grab a drink to get the views.
The bartenders were terrible until their manager told them to care.
I feel my money was wasted overall.

Been in Seattle So. Long. Amd have never been. I dont drink, but the exhibits are awesome, the building is beautiful and the views are great.
I sat in the chair, obviously, but I already know im going to marry him. It was fun though. 🤪

$200+ Wasted on tea “experience”. No water refills, never took away dirty plates, tea was bitter, bread was stale, and no food options. If you have a seafood allergy, then you won’t be able to eat.
Go for the view, skip the food and drinks.
Went for the view and a dinner. Party of 6 - all had tickets (only people with tickets were allowed to the bar area).
Drinks were extremely over priced and not that great. Tuna poke tasted weird, the potstickers were soggy, chips were hard and old. Overall no one at my table loved their food.
Our tickets said $10 off a purchase of $20 or more (Mon-Thurs). We were there Thursday night and were surprised when the bill arrived and our ticket discount was not applied.
We asked the waiter and he said it's only $10 off for the whole table and we should've notified him before he gave us the bill.
This didn't make sense because only people with tickets were allowed up, so the $10 discount should've been applied at the very least automatically. We show him on the website that it does not state the $10 off is per table, but rather per ticket.
We paid the bill in full with no discount and will not be returning to the Smith Tower Bar or recommending it to any friends.

Unfortunately this was a letdown for us. We had high hopes considering the history of the building and the price but the experience doesn't match up with the location. The cocktails were watered down, the food was mediocre and the wait staff service was uninformed about the menu, inattentive and in general subpar.
The staff in the lobby and both elevator operators were great, very hospitable and funny. Overall a big disappointment that relies more on the nice view and not the experience or service.
Had a great old fashioned with the best views in the entire city.
