I saw the reviews and had to try this place out. I was not impressed with the menu since it has only the basic fish. The fish was fresh and tasted good, but not great. The price was a bit outrageous for the portions they provided. However, you have to try it once to know it.

First time in Sushi Kashiba and will definitely come back again. The sushi was presented deliciously and tasted fresh. We got the omakase and peak menu choice along with the sunomono salad and hamachi collar for appetizers. Restaurant was quaint and clean. Our server, Jordan really came through with making us feel comfortable and welcomed. He honestly made our visit as memorable as the food. He emits so much love, passion and very intuitive with the service he provides. Thank you for making our anniversary so special.

Got the omakase again and it was disappointing. The quality wasn’t top tier and temperature on certain dishes was odd like some of the nigiri. This place was amazing 2-3 years ago but they’ve gone downhill since then. The service was mediocre this time as well. Nobody smiled and things just felt robotic.

Disappointed they were serving bluefin tuna because it is on the Monterey bay aquarium seafood watch “avoid” list.

If you are willing to spend $250 each, with drinks, then it is absolutely the place for Sushi. The owner is Shiro Kashiba, the founder of the Belltown "Shiro Sushi." He left Shiro in 2014 and founded this one, both his namesakes. The idea is to choose one of the Omakase choices: counter, Omakase, or "Peak." They differ by volume and prices. Of course, it is OK to order Ala Carte, we enjoyed that very much as well. White wines were not as smooth or buttery as I expected, not to say they were bad. They probably expect me to order Sake. There's no dessert menu. The Omakase ended with a dish that's somewhat sweet, but not really as dessert. All dishes were excellent, the waiter was attentive, friendly, and helpful. It was a wonderful dinner experience.

I came to Seattle hoping to find myself some world class seafood. Everywhere I looked pointed me in the direction of Sushi Kashiba, and I was not mislead. Every bit of this experience oozed intention. Each plate of the omakase was a curated journey through flavors that could have only been designed and achieved by an expert of their craft. This is the real deal, and you'd be hard pressed to find a similar experience for this price. Sushi Kashiba is truly a wonderful experience.

Second time here tonight. Not as great an experience as the first time, perhaps because I decided to do a la carte instead of the Omakase or the Peak. Nigiri were excellent. Had the tempura which was great! No grated radish though, and when I asked for some, it was a teeny tiny bit!. How can you call it authentic if not with daikon??? Maki was so-so. Fillings were great, but the sushi rice felt like regular rice and was falling apart despite being gluey.

Im from out of town first time at this place and there’s a 45min wait…. Not cool, on top of them serving 6 Tempura for 30 dollars!!! Yea won’t be back

Kashiba is hands-down my favorite sushi restaurant in the US. The vibe of the restaurant is pretty intimate, and the omakase experience is everything. We had a reservation for dinner on a Thursday night, the place was pretty busy as usual. We were welcomed and seated pretty quickly. The hostess even provided a little bag hook for my purse There were 7 total "courses" in the omakase. Servers would provide descriptions for each dish along with recommendations on what to eat first/how to enjoy it best etc. The omakase included a set of amuse-bouche, a handroll, a wide variety of nigiri, agedashi tofu, and soup a tamagoyaki at the end. All the fish is super fresh and tender. I love the fact that each piece comes already dressed with wasabi and soy sauce, so there's no need to dip anything before eating. I also always enjoy the other little finishes that the chef includes, like marinating, topping with fresh wasabi, adding shiso, drizzling with citrus, etc. all the extra flavors really elevated each piece while still letting the quality of each fish shine. With the amazing food, there was amazing service to match. All the servers and hostesses were super gracious and helpful. Overall, amazing place!! Of course it is on the pricier side, but would definitely recommend. Spoil yourself, you deserve it LOL

AMAZING! From food, to service, to ambiance - everything was spectacular. My friends and I had an amazing time at Sushi Kashiba on a Saturday night. The staff were incredibly attentive as one friend was left handed, so the chef placed her pieces in the opposite order of ours. The food exceeded expectations as our chef thoroughly explained and talked through his selections and process. We had such a great time dining together and getting to know our chef, as well as having the opportunity to meet Chef Shiro himself!
