What a quaint little bakery in Ballard. I arrived shortly after the bakery opens at 9 and there was already a line out the door. But because the store is small and only fits one part at a time. All the breads are nicely displayed on the sheft, many I've never seen. I got the baker street sourdough, cinnamon roll and a twice baked almond croissant. This is truly the best bread you can find in Seattle (and I am French so very picky about it). I just moved in Ballard (former QA and GL) and I love walking there to get my fresh baguette. My kids love their little rolls to eat on the way home :)

Great products in general. Fix two things and it would easily be a 5 star spot:

1. Quality control is lacking. I’ve been here about 10 times and it seems like a crapshoot whether you’ll get the super high quality pastries/bread or just average. Perhaps a skill difference between the bakers?

2. Opening at 9am as a bakery is insane. It just means that if you have a 9-5 job - like most people do - there’s no way...
