First off, the views alone from the window seating, are top notch! I found myself staring out the window at the harbor and the mountains in the distance, more than looking at my food or my phone. I had the cream prawns as an appetizer. I'll give it an A-/B+. I personally would've preferred the sauce be a little thicker, but as it was, it was water. Still flavorful and tasty tho! For the main dish, I had the seafood saute. I guess I didn't know what I was expecting when I ordered this. I loved all the seafood that came with it, however I was lucky enough to order rice as a side.. as it stood, it was just going to be the seafood (clams, mussels, shrimp, salmon, etc...).. I thought there was going to be noodles of some sort included, but I was wrong. Nonetheless, the seafood was still fresh and tasty. I'm my mind, it was weird to just eat the seafood like that, as is.
Overall, highly recommend tho. If I'm ever back in town, I will definitely be back!

We had an amazing experience at Athenian Seafood Restaurant! Not only was the food fresh and delicious, but our server, Robert, truly went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. He was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, recommending dishes and sharing stories about the local seafood. It’s clear he’s passionate about great service, and his enthusiasm made our meal even more enjoyable.
The seafood here is absolutely top-notch – every dish was perfectly prepared, from the crab cakes to the grilled salmon. And here’s a fun fact: Athenian Seafood has been a Seattle landmark since 1909, and they even appeared in the movie Sleepless in Seattle! Knowing that added a special touch to the whole experience, giving us a sense of the restaurant’s rich history.
If you’re looking for delicious seafood, a bit of Seattle history, and fantastic service (ask for Robert!), Athenian Seafood Restaurant is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu!

Worst service. Waited 25mins not taking us order. This guy goes to the table beside us for their order the minute they took the seat. Im 99% sure he treat customers differently by color of skin! When I asking why it's taking so long, the guy is extremely rude! This can't be the first complaint he got, and won't be the last one he receives.

I think we're going to dream about the fish and chips from The Athenian for quite some time, lol. We tried both Cod and Red Snapper and just wow. I was looking forward to eating seafood in Alaska, but the highlight was our meal here instead. I'm looking forward to the next trip to Seattle for sure.

We tried the halibut fish and chips, and the quality of the fish was definitely above average—crispy, fresh, and flavorful. The portion size was generous, and it was cooked just right.
The service and atmosphere were pretty standard, nothing extraordinary but pleasant enough for a casual meal.

Sat at the bar near the kitchen to get the real vibes this place has. Great service and staff and the seafood bowl we got with half shell oysters were very tasty. There's a whole upstairs along the west windowed wall for great views of you're looking for that

When will I ever get to eat such fresh and light seafood again? The friendly host showed me to a cute table on the second floor, where I had a perfect meal with a great view. I will definitely come back if I come back to Seattle!

This restaurant was used as a filming location for the movie "When We Met" starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Located inside Pike Place Public Market.
Ordered salmon seafood salad and clam chowder. Both were very delicious. Great location with a view of the ocean from the window. The staff were all cheerful and kind, and we had a fun meal that left us with good memories of Seattle.
