Yum. Two of us had salads, one with the tuna and the other salmon. Our two friends had burgers. All delicious. Friendly and highly skilled staff. The seating has “character” - which lends to an authentic and historical Pike Market vibe.
Stopped by The Athenian Seafood Restaurant And Bar for dinner and it was a classic Seattle waterfront experience. The views alone make it worth the visit, with the harbor and ferries coming and going right outside the window. I ordered the clam chowder and grilled seafood platter, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The chowder was rich and creamy without being too heavy, and the seafood had a nice simple seasoning that let the natural flavors shine. The staff were friendly and attentive, and even though it was busy, service stayed smooth. It’s got that old-school seafood restaurant charm that feels timeless. Definitely a spot I’d recommend for anyone wanting good seafood with a great view of the water.

Amazing in every way! We ordered the calamari, salmon sandwich and the fishwitch. The seafood was so good! So fresh! The service was wonderful. It's a huge place so not a huge wait for our party of 2. We waited 15 minutes and viewed the movie memorabilia. Don't miss out on the gem!

Out of clams, oysters were tiny, shrimp tasted off. The salmon chowder was good and my wife liked her burger. Service was fine.
We placed our order and only after serving us drinks did they tell me they didn’t have clams. That’s all I wanted. Would have just left immediately if we knew up front they didn’t have what I wanted.
Won’t be going back.

Great Bayside views hard benches outstanding food and good service. Seafood meals are specialty and are well prepared.
Good food and the atmosphere was nice. The view of the waterfront was beautiful.
Decent happy hour at the bar with a great view.
I had a fantastic meal at The Athenian Seafood Restaurant and Bar at Pike Place Market. I ordered the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl, and it was excellent. The chowder was seasoned perfectly, rich and flavorful without being overly heavy, and the sourdough boule was fresh and delicious.
My dining companions ordered the red snapper fish and chips, which were fried and seasoned to perfection. Another person at our table had the fried seafood platter, and the portions were extremely generous. One thing that really stood out was how well the fried items were prepared. Everything was crisp, light, and beautifully fried without tasting greasy at all, which can be difficult to get right with seafood.
Special shout out to our server Jennifer, who was friendly, attentive, and offered some excellent menu suggestions that made the experience even better. This was a memorable meal in one of Seattle’s iconic market locations, and I would definitely return.

Great food and views. Service is attentive. There's a happy hour in the bar 3-close daily that no one mentioned to us but that we would have loved. Vegetables are yummy. I recommend the shellfish here.

This is the place from Sleepless in Seattle. The food was excellent, especially the Halibut. It had just come in from Alaska and did not disappoint. Check it out if you are in the Public Market in Seattle. Great views as well.

It was a cute and pretty restaurant with ocean view. The server was really sweet and the food seems good.
But when I ate the seafood pasta, mussels smell like poop. Later in the evening I felt nauseous and gassy. And then I had cramps and diarrhea. I think the mussels were decayed.
It was a nice restaurant so I feel bad.

Spent about an hour at Athenian Seattle Seafood Bar, and it was an experience worth every minute. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between laid-back and lively—comfortable enough to settle in, but with just enough energy to remind you you're somewhere special.
The seafood was incredibly fresh, cooked simply and perfectly, letting the quality speak for itself. Every bite felt like it came straight from the water to the plate. The service was just as impressive—attentive without hovering, friendly without feeling forced.
Between the views, the food, and the overall vibe, it’s the kind of place you go to slow down and actually enjoy the moment. Easily a 5-star experience, and I’ll definitely be back.
