I never leave reviews but the dinner and service at The Garrison is outstanding! They have a newly expanded menu that was hard to choose from. Everything looked amazing… and it was! We got to eat in the newly remodeled back room that is absolutely stunning! The other noteworthy mention is the presentation of all of our dishes were thoughtful and very beautifully put together. Overall, love this addition to our Ballard neighborhood. Can’t wait to try brunch!

The clam & halibut chowder here is incredible. We stopped in for a cocktail and ordered the chowder. It's by far the most memorable chowder I've had in years,. I highly recommend!

Disappointed with the puff pastry crab entree. Food critics have been raving about the puff pastry crab entree. I love crab and puff pastry, so I was hoping for a delicious serving. Sadly, the puff pastry was served undercooked and tasted raw and rubbery. There was NO flakey goodness. ? The crab was really dry. It tasted like bad canned tuna packed in water rather than crab. The sad news was the side salad was the best part of the dish. The presentation was beautiful, but, that was not enough to save the dish. Puff pastry can be difficult to bake, but, the chef should have worked those problems out before serving it.
The black pepper ice cream was outstanding! It was silky and smooth with just the right amount of pepper and Chartreuse liqueur and croissant crumbles! Yum!
The champagne by the glass was fun to try. The menu does a great job of explaining the flavors of each champagne so you know what you are getting. I liked being able to try out a pricey "growers" champagne without buying a whole bottle.
The wait staff and bartender are really knowledgeable about the food and drinks.
Overall, I would recommend a glass of champagne and the black pepper ice cream. They have 25 percent off champagne by the glass between 3 and 5 pm happy hour.

Parking: The only time you can get free street parking (to my knowledge) within 3 blocks of the Garrison is on Sundays. However, on Sundays the Ballard Farmers Market goes until 3 pm and free street parking is very scarce.
Mondays through Saturdays street parking costs about $6 per hour if you use Seattle's Pay To Park App unless you are willing to walk about 3 blocks from the restaurant.

Amazing experience at the Garrison. The oysters we had were delicious, they are both meaty and deep and have a delicious brine to them. Our server Brendan was also incredibly kind and took the time to explain their origin to us as well as other fun oyster facts. Even though this place is very nice, it's also unpretentious and leans into creative menu items. Will def be back!

My partner and I absolutely adore The Garrison. It's a fantastic addition to the neighborhood, and we are consistently impressed by their exceptional food and drinks.

Recently, we chose The Garrison to host my birthday party, and it was an excellent decision. With a guest list of 50 people, many of whom had various dietary restrictions and food allergies—including vegan, pescatarian, vegetarian, celiac, non-alcoholic beverages, and lactose intolerant—The Garrison rose to the occasion. They accommodated everyone’s needs flawlessly.

Our experience was further enhanced by the personal touch of the owners, who went above and beyond to ensure our celebration was perfect. They created a custom food menu tailored specifically for our party, showcasing their dedication to outstanding service. At the end of the night, we had a champagne toast (with a non-alcoholic option available) to conclude the magical evening.

I highly recommend The Garrison for any occasion. Their top-tier food and beverage program truly deserves recognition for its excellence.

To top it all off, I also proposed to my partner of seven years at The Garrison. Truly a memory we will never forget.

Bee nice small place to have some small bites and wine. The seafood is very good. I like the caviar the most. Roasted Carrots and clams really amazed me.

Went for happy hour and had delicious oysters and a crab puff pastry that is one of the tastiest bites in Seattle. Leek and crab dip is outstanding as well. The service was great and we’ll be back.
