Gokan has “reopened” at its original address however it’s just a ghost kitchen in Seoul Mates. The old Gokan is gone RIP forever.

Before the flood that closed Gokan, it was my go-to sushi restaurant. I get the same thing every time, 2 spicy salmon rolls with spicy mayo on top. Stopped by here to have dinner before a show in Neumos. Ambience was cool, food was descent, but service was not so great. Sushi quality was fine. It wasn't great, but it could be worse. I ordered a bento box with raw fish, teriyaki chicken, tempura, and other stuff. Contents were descent, but it did take them a long time to make it. I love this place! I have basically gone here once a week for years. Salmon lover and double the fun are our favorite sushi rolls. The edamame and the gyoza are also great. If you drink alcohol, try the shotime!
