Matador West Seattle

I’ve lived in W. Seattle for a month and I’ve been trying to make this place my go to happy hour spot, by coming weekly, but the service at the bar has been pretty crappy until today. Idk if the walk ability or the tacos is the what’s motivated me keep trying but today there was a shift. Jalen was welcoming and I didn’t have to signal or make a grand announcement that I’m present or ready to order. He brought me water shortly after I sat down, due to my previous experience I was compelled to place my order while I had his attention. To my surprise after I placed my order my drink and food came out, I didn’t have to request a fork and napkin, and I was asked 2x how I was doing! Additionally when I asked about additional recommendations Jalen hipped me to things that weren’t on the happy hour menu and overall just made me feel human. Just when I was ready to succumb to believing that I can concoct tacos, margaritas, and be ignored just as good as they do at the Matador at home Jalen changed my perspective and I’m grateful for the interaction.

Yummmmm. I think we found our go to date night spot! Everything here was so so so good. Our waitress Dara was so sweet ! It was a darker setting which I loved. The booths were nice and roomy. I loved that they actually still serve you free chips and salsa... you dont find that often anymore. The drinks were reasonably priced and really good. Food came out fresh and hot. Cooked perfectly. Can't wait to go back and try now items! Oh they do to-go cups for unfinished drinks too!! Bill was only 120 for all you see in pictures.

FIVE STARS for the Matador West Seattle! We had two meals there over the weekend for the Summer Fest and enjoyed both dinner and the next day Happy Hour food and drinks; both were delicious. Our server Athena both days was exceptional! We were impressed with the kitchen crew serving hot & delicious food quickly during the frenzy of the festival. Thank you we will be back next time we are in West Seattle.

I tried this restaurant for the first time and I absolutely loved it. I love Mexican food, I grew up with it so it is one of my go-to’s when I can’t decide what to eat. I don’t usually try “fancy” Mexican food because the hole-in-the-walls are usually the best, but the food had AMAZING flavor and the pricing was very reasonable. I did the mix and match lunch so I could try several items and every item surprised me. It didn’t feel heavy, but instead very nourishing. I wasn’t planning on getting a drink, but the margarita selection sounds so good I had to get one. Definitely coming back.

The place is legit! Great atmosphere. Outstanding food... try the nachos with steak!!! Great food,and excellent service.

The house salad is amazingly good. Somebody tell the chef to back off the salt on the Ahi Tuna Tosdados please. Tastes like he put the whole Shaker on it.
