The Mountaineering Club is a rooftop bar located on the top floor of a hotel near the University of Washington campus. It offers stunning views of the campus, lake, and bridge, making it an ideal spot to watch the sunset during the summer. The bar is known for its impressive cocktail menu, featuring classic drinks like the martini and Manhattan, as well as unique options like the Chupacabra and baba yaga. The atmosphere is lively with nice music creating a buzzing environment, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Recent visitors enjoy the panoramic views, despite the Rainer view being blocked by new buildings, and appreciate the thoughtfully curated drink selection. The outdoor seating provides great city views and is mostly covered, making it a comfortable spot for any weather. The setting is perfect for casual outings or special occasions, with breathtaking scenery that exceeds expectations. The food, including delicious nachos, has good flavor, and the Clam Chowder comes with a full cup of ingredients and a slice of bread. Overall, it's a place that offers a relaxed yet refined experience, making it a must-visit spot to enjoy Seattle from above.
