Our group just happened to stumble upon this cafe while exploring the neighborhood and it was the most wonderful experience. This a mom and pop cafe run by the absolute sweetest couple who have been working the shop for over 15 years! They took the time to recommend all the locals’ favorite shops and restaurants (not the ones completely taken over by tourists) and also made us feel extremely welcomed and at home. We probably talked their ears off but they took the time to share their experiences and story. We didn’t want to leave the store! We saw that their spicy teriyaki and chipotle chicken panini were other customers’ favorites so we decided to try it out and we were not disappointed. The chicken was so tender and flavorful. They also don’t skimp out on the portions! We were so full that we had to cancel our original lunch plans haha.If you have the time, I highly recommend you check this place out!

It is spicy chicken with great quantity and taste. The level of spiciness was just right. Both the rice and salad prepared together were delicious. It is much more delicious and cost-effective food than fast food of the same price. It was even better because it felt like a home-cooked meal made by my mom. This is a great, gem-like restaurant that I would like to visit again next time.Business hours are from 8am to 2:30pm on weekdays. We didn't know that, so we called at 7:30am.

Two times I try to come here. The first time they don’t take Apple Pay the second time they close at 2:30. I got here at 2:31. I thought this was a lunch place why not stay open until four or 5 PM I guess it’s not meant to be.

The teriyaki chicken special is the star. Probably the best I’ve ever had in the world. Add to that, a historic looking building, squeaky clean interior, happy go lucky owners… cannot give a stronger recommendation to check out this hidden gem if you are in downtown Seattle. Open for 18 years they say so you know they perfected their craft. ATTN Asians, this hits the spot for that umami taste you miss from home.

Sorry no pics but just wanted to give this bodega a shout out for having a mama/papa feel. The couple that was working (may be the owners?) were super sweet. The breakfast croissants were made and tasted from scratch. They do have an expresso machine so you know the coffee was delicious.

The best home made chocolate chip cookies. I frequent often for the sandwiches (always delicious) but I've heard my peers rave about their teriyaki! It's always a quick in and out, even though they make the sandwiches to order. There's also a couple of tables if you'd like to sit. The couple that runs this place is so welcoming! Out of all the places I could go to grab a quick bite to eat downtown, I always choose this place! I wish they stayed open later :)

Great option for lunch or breakfast for surrounding office buildings and folks downtown. Fantastic teriyaki and a good selection of sandwiches, including vegetarian options. The owners are always working hard behind the counter and all around fantastic people!

Absolutely wonderful lunch, their spicy teriyaki is by far the best teriyaki I've had in Seattle. Owners are extremely kind and personable, and the prices are very fair given the portions - one order of teriyaki could easily last two meals, provided you're able to resist eating it all in one sitting. If you're in downtown, this is easily one of your best bets for lunch.

Ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki and it was ready super fast, huge portions, and tasted great! Very affordable for the portion size compared to what you normally pay around the area. Owners were very nice too!
