My partner and I have had Wataru’s to-go sushi omakase and chirashi several times over the years, going back to when they first started offering it during the pandemic. We’ve always felt the to-go was just as excellent as dining in, and we especially loved being able to take it for a picnic by the lake.
Unfortunately, this most recent experience was really disappointing, and I felt the quality of my sushi omakase had noticeably gone downhill....

After hearing about Wataru from a friend, I was very eager to try it, and then my wife surprised me with a dinner here with my son for Father's Day.
From start to finish, the food, service, and hospitality were all incredible. Every course was delicious, and even as we started to get full we found ourselves pushing through to try the next amazing item.
We will absolutely be back to this gem of a restaurant!

The red bluefin tuna and the Spanish mackerel were particular highlights along with the Anagi. An absolutely splendid 17 courses. We look forward to coming back soon to enjoy Chef Kumita’s sushi.
