White Horse Tavern Reviews
This place is kool! The “strongest drink” apparently changes based on your bartender, but I look forward to trying another bartender’s “strongest drink” because the one I had on 6/3/26 was fantastic! We shared two and were blazed. The decor in this place is kool, and it is dark and cozy. Can’t wait to visit Seattle again and go back. Also, the bartender we had that night took good care of us. He made sure we had water and explained the bill...read full review
We had a good time at this cozy English pub with a nice selection of imported beers to choose from.
The coziest tavern with delicious drinks and the atmosphere!? 10/10! Love it!

The White Horse Tavern in Seattle's Post Alley is a hidden gem that has been serving up a lively and unique atmosphere for over 30 years. The dimly lit interior is decorated with eclectic items, including umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, boxing gloves, and foreign currency. The owner, a former boxer, provides friendly service and engages with customers, sometimes offering a scavenger hunt game to keep everyone entertained. The pub offers a simple selection of beer, whiskey, and wine, with some options like whiskey and wine available in outdoor seating areas. The drinks are served at room temperature, staying true to the English pub tradition. Visitors can enjoy a cozy, historical spot with leather couches and an outdoor patio, making it a great place for small groups and conversations. The atmosphere is dark, intimate, and inviting, with interesting decor that adds to the charm. The bartender is helpful, explaining how things work, and the menu features a classic English bar selection. While the beer menu isn't large and some drinks may not be everyone's favorite, the place has a strong sense of character and tradition. Pours are generous, and the overall vibe is perfect for those looking for a memorable experience near Pike Place Market.
