About Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub

Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub is a cozy, 40-year-old Irish pub located in one of Seattle's oldest buildings. They serve fresh soda bread daily and brew their own beers in Oregon. The crab cakes are full of crab, a rare find in restaurants. The friendly and knowledgeable staff create a fantastic spot for comfort food on cold, rainy days. The atmosphere is authentic, with Irish music adding to the cozy feel. Customers enjoy the great drinks and selection of whiskeys, making it a fun place to unwind. The pub offers delicious Irish food, including pasties with beef as the star and chicken pasties that many enjoy. The popular fish and chips with mushy peas are sometimes served chilled instead of warm. The food is excellent, with dishes like lamb stew and Irish clam chowder, and the patio dining offers a great opportunity for people-watching while still enjoying the Irish music inside. The attentive staff make sure guests feel welcome, though it’s important to check the bill carefully. Visitors often find the environment relaxing and worth the search, even with the playful noise of nearby starlings in the trees. Overall, Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub remains a great place to enjoy good Irish food, drinks, and atmosphere in downtown Seattle.

Let's just say...don't expect a water glass refill. The big surprise? The bill comes with an unexpected automatic 20% gratuity - on top of which their billing machine pushes for an additional tip. The words cheap, greedy, dishonest and...read full review

Today I celebrated St.Patricks day at Kells Irish Pub! This was my first time here and the experience was wonderful. The staff were warm and welcoming as was the location. I tried shepherds pie for the first time and that was delicious. Even sober I had a wonderful time. They stock non alcoholic Guinness and that was perfect 🍀 wonderful place and great food. Highly recommend.

Had a creamy pint of the black stuff with a savory Irish stew!
