The newest gem in town! Food was authentic Italian and absolutely delicious. Great drinks & apps. Still drooling over the Prawn and Steak dishes. Tracy our server was excellent and couldn’t have made our birthday celebration any better! We will tell everyone we know and return again, very soon!

Visited Vivo to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and it completely blew us away—it exceeded every expectation. Hands down, this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

We started with a trio of appetizers: the burrata, Brussels sprouts, and meatballs. Each one was absolutely delicious, and honestly, I didn’t think the meal could get any better… but then the main courses arrived. I sampled everyone’s dishes along with my own, and every single bite was packed with flavor. Everything was cooked to perfection—from texture to seasoning, it was clear the kitchen puts a lot of care into each plate.

Then came dessert. We ordered the tiramisu and lemon tart and my dad and I were a little skeptical about the olive oil cake, but we decided to give it a try—and wow, it completely surprised us. Light, moist, subtly sweet, and full of unexpected flavor. A definite must-try.

Both my parents enjoyed martinis which they both thought were delicious. I opted for a mocktail and it was amazing. Notes of lemon and blueberry perfectly sweet and refreshing! Love that they include a list of mocktails for those who don’t enjoy alcohol.

The atmosphere of Vivo is just as impressive as the food—warm, inviting, and stylish. And a huge shoutout to our waitress, Tracy, who truly made the experience even more special. She was kind, funny, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable when it came to the menu and recommendations. She made us feel taken care of from start to finish.

We’ll absolutely be back.

I ate at Vivo a couple of weeks ago at a soft opening dinner. I had the Cacio e Pepe, one of my favorite pasta dishes and it was marvelous! Had it again last night and it was terrible-so much pepper it hurt your mouth and completely over powered the cheese. Others had the spare rib papardelle and it was as good as the first time. I am so disappointed with the Cacio e Pepe I won’t order it again until they make it as in Rome.

Great place, great service, amazing wine, and yummy fresh food. We were disappointed in the lamb only because it was so good in taste but only two bits of meat the rest was fat and only 2 chops for $50 and no pasta. We wanted more meat and more filling pasta with it for the price. All of the other dishes were amazing and yummy.

We were one of the first guests for the soft opening. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. We ordered a bottle of red wine from Italy and started with the focaccia bread and meatballs. Everything is made in house, and it shows. It’s all so delicious! For entrees we had the chicken pesto rigatoni and the petite steak. It’s too bad I started getting full, because I wanted to order more food! We ended our meal with the homemade Tiramisu. Best I’ve ever had. The manger Jessie had an amazing attention to detail. I can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful experience of pure authentic Italian dining at Vivo Italian Bistro! 🇮🇹 With wonderful attentive service (Shoutout to Anna!), handcrafted pasta, and charming decor, it’s an experience you won’t forget! Dined in with my husband for a special date night, and we are already planning our next visit. The next pure gem of Stanwood! Every detail has been thought through to perfection. Our food was piping hot when arriving to the table, and the flavor was out of this world! Can’t wait to recommend this restaurant to all Stanwood Locals! Thank you Vivo for having us!

Amazing experience at Cafe Vivo. Food was perfect and all homemade, drinks were top notch and service was immaculate. Jesse, our waitress/bartender was amazing and made us want to come back again. We loved the beets appetizer, burrata salad, creamy chicken rigatoni and the seafood pasta… and the olive oil cake with strawberries and rhubarb 😍😍😍 cannot wait to come back!

We had a great dinner at Cafe Vivo! We started out with the meatballs that were EXCELLENT! They tasted like they were a mix of beef and sausage, they had a delicious smokey taste, and were smothered in a perfect tomato sauce and melty cheese. We had the caesar salad that was as beautiful as it was tasty, with shaved parm, and crispy bread crumbs. For dinner we had the Creamy Chicken Rigatoni, which was a 10/10 the sauce was creamy with a wonderful brightness from the lemon. Also the Spaghetti Bolognese had more of that delicious housemade marina sauce, with perfectly el dente spaghetti. Overall it was a great meal! The atmosphere looks amazing, light and elegant. Super excited for this to be a new regular spot for us!

There are very few options on the menu that can be made vegan, excluding the few appetizers that are vegan by default (e.g., edamame, summer rolls, fried tofu). Whereas other Thai places in the area are happy to make most of the noodle or fried rice dishes vegan, you're not getting that here. For any item that is not vegan by default where they do offer an option to make it vegan, you are charged an extra $1. Not only do you get less food (i.e., egg removed), you have to pay extra for the pleasure. The food is already pretty expensive considering it's a small rural town that shouldn't act like it's downtown Seattle. $17 for fried rice is not reasonable. Additionally, be careful with the dipping sauces that come with your appetizers. The default tamarind dipping sauce that comes with vegan appetizers is *not* vegan and you need to sub another sauce like peanut which is yet another $1 charge. They are listed as vegan friendly, but are far from it as far as I'm concerned. A vegan can eat there, but we're obviously not welcomed customers. 3 stars because the portions are reasonable and the food tastes great. Updated from previous review on 2024-05-25

I’m a little disappointed tonight. ? we paid $71 for 2 appetizers, a kids meal and a regular meal. The flavor and quality was just ok. We usually love Jasmin’s food. May have to try another place next time.

Visiting on two different occasions, 2/24 and 3/9, I had two very different experiences. Both times the food was excellent, but the atmosphere and service differed.Ordering Phad See Yu with fresh tofu is always a win from Jasmin. The second visit I ordered Thom Ka Tofu. This coconut milk based soup was so tasty. I recommend ordering a side of rice to add into the soup; it’s a nice pairing and makes it much more hardy. The first of the two visits there happen to be a sizable party and it created quite a bit of noise, hampering our ability to visit over dinner. The second stop in was nearly an empty house with only one other table being occupied. Made for a lovely visit with my friend. Normally I find Jasmin to be fairly busy but not rambunctious like it was with the large party.Service in February was lacking but I feel it was due in part to our waitress being new. In March we had a much more seasoned server and it made for a more enjoyable and relaxing experience.Overall I find Jasmin a consistently good experience with food and generally with service as well.I’m unsure of their tenure but they’ve been a long-standing restaurant in Stanwood and I hope they continue doing what they do best for a long time to come.
