The staff was completely rude. Food was not good, and left me with stomach pains later. Plus there was a weird smell from kitchen.

Absolutely delicious! I really love that they have a vegetarian Gyoza option and several plants based rolls, there is one with sweet potato in it that is my favorite. The vegetable tempura is lightly battered and airy. The Tamago is fluffy and sweet. It is a little pricey but most certainly worth the price.

I would recommend this Japanese style restaurant, but know that I've only been to Shima once and wasn't delighted. Since it was my first time I ordered a simple dish of Teriyaki chicken because if that wasn't good there was no way I would order a dish containing raw fish on my next visit. The teriyaki was good and the price very reasonable. The other folks in my group all like Shima and some ordered sushi. For me, the service was just okay, for a busy evening, but no less than what I expected. Next time I'll get a spicy tuna hand roll or perhaps a sushi sampler dish.

Wonderful people, sincerely the wait staff was so sweet and were super kind with our 6 month old coming into the restaurant. As for the sushi, it is HIGH QUALITY. The variety is impressive and the appetizers are meal worthy on their own. We'll be back to devour more very very soon .

This is such a gem for Stanwood! After being closed for a month (owners on vacation) we came right back to an amazing meal. We started off with some excellent Miso soup followed by Sashimi that was wonderfully fresh (chefs selection) and included salmon, yellow tail, albacore. We also had the Firecracker Roll - delicious with just the right amount of heat, Spider Toll - always a favorite with the crab crispy and lite, Volcano Roll - with jalapeno rings on top and simply superb.Do you know just how lucky we are to have such a fine Japanese Sushi restaurant in downtown Stanwood?Kid-friendliness: Easy-going atmosphere and staff are all friendly with smiles.

Thank you for graciously taking our takeout order when we arrived at 7:47 pm! It was our first family reunion meal since 2019. I hadn't seen my son since May. We were able to enjoy the most delicious dinner together over wine ? at our Camano Island VRBO. Especially enjoyed flavorful agadashi, ?, ?, ?!!! Loved negihama.

I always look forward to dining at this store. Fishes are always fresh, and the bento box A and / or B are my favorite.

Just tried this place for the first time after wanting to forever. I love Sushi but my mom doesn’t and they have plenty of options other than sushi and she loved her yakisoba dish. The sushi was some of the best I’ve had and super fresh. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it was delicious too. It’s understandingly expensive because it is sushi but it’s the perfect restaurant in Stanwood or in general for special occasions, dates, and etc. Definitely worth every penny and we didn’t have to wait for a table. The waitress was super nice and helpful too.

This place is such a gem in Stanwood, hands down the best restaurant in the area. My husband and I go here for any excuse to celebrate, treat ourselves, and stuff our faces with this amazing sushi. I haven't had anything besides the sushi (why would I?!) but I'm sure it's equally amazing. Big city quality food in little Stanwood, you won't be disappointed!
