Excellent sauerkraut and potatoe salad with bratwurst appetizer, which was also good with a large salad. The chicken cordon Bleu slightly dry, but still very good. The vegetable medley with it was good. The red fruit dessert was was unusual , liquid and very good, wirh taste of cherries and berries.

I had the spicey tomato soup with bread and butter. It was so delicious! My friend had the beef with spatzle and mixed vegetable. That was spectacular and meat was just soft and shredded apart. Really
Yum! Good quality ingredients and just the right portion size to fill you. Very down to earth and family-friendly atmosphere. Seems very random for Spanaway to have a restaurant like this, haha. Very sweet of the chef to come out and say hello. I believe he is actually from France. We got the escargot, duck, salmon, and they had blueberry pie that day. The pie was not sweet like a typical American desserts but still good. The menu of the photo Merrillee posted I believe has the most accurate prices as of MAR24.Parking: Enough parking to hold the restaurant (which isn’t very big), but if the lot is full, it probably means the restaurant is too.Kid-friendliness: Family-friendly atmosphere.

We were there for the 29th anniversary of our engagement. We had the valentines day specials. The food was great - ample proportions, well seasoned and cooked to profection. They were "full" (it was Valantines day)and they turned a lot of people away without reservations. But we didn't feel neglected or rushed. I think they had extra wait staff. They were very busy but they did a great job.Highly recommend Citron for special occasions.

My partner and I ate there and our meal was just to-die for. Great selection of German beers and French wines, and German & French cuisine. Had the bread + butter and Bavarian Bratwurst for the appetizer which were wonderful. But the mains were mouthwatering. I had the Saumon roti en croute, which was basically a puff-type pastry filled with salmon, goat cheese, and spinach which was a creamy, pastry delight with fresh seasonal veggies and a small potato salad. Partner had I think clams in a cream sauce with also a side of veggies and potato salad, which he just groaned with enjoyment eating. This is such a gem that we will absolutely be going back!
Delicious! We had salmon and a freshwater fish dish and both were fantastic. Veggies were delectable; I'd come back just for those. Service was great.

Quaint restaurant with charming staff and excellent food. Went for our anniversary dinner and ordered the beef bourguignon and Saumon en croute, both were superb! Portions are filling and the food has several dimensions of flavors. Dessert was equally delicious! We had the iced nougat (which was homemade) with raspberry coulee. The chef added a personal touch and stopped at each table to ensure the food and service was top notch. Absolutely recommend eating here and we will be returning and telling all our friends!
Fabulous French cuisine in a low maintenance setting. The food is great, service is friendly, everything was fantastic. Definitely a repeat experience.

Citron European Bistro is truly a gem. Went for the second time and they happened to be open on Thanksgiving! They were very welcoming, the staff was prompt to provide friendly service. The chef is a maestro in the kitchen - both the tomato soup with young spinach and french onion soup were so warm and flavorful. The main course special was a lamb shank with assorted vegetables and beans (they also had a turkey and stuffing special but opted for the lamb). A wide assortment of dessert options to finish the meal, that night we went with the crepes Citron. Light and flaky crepe served with fruit and whipped cream. Filled with a soft sponge and citron creme that paired perfectly with a caramel drizzle over top, combined for a great finish to the meal.
