About Devil's Reef

Devil's Reef is a superb tiki bar that has surpassed expectations. The extensive decor and attention to detail create a memorable atmosphere, with something to marvel at in every corner. The dark 'pirate' vibe and Lovecraft-inspired theme add a unique touch, making it a fun and cozy spot in an old historic area of Tacoma. The service is prompt, friendly, and professional, with staff demonstrating their knowledge and love for Polynesian-themed bars. Customers can enjoy a wide variety of drinks, including the popular Grog and the delicious Gilman House Special, as well as creative options like Kingsport Festival and Requiem for a Doomed Star. The menu offers tasty choices such as nachos, sliders, rice bowls, and quesadillas, which are all highly recommended. While the drinks can be large, sweet, and a bit pricey, they provide a satisfying experience. Some customers have noted that the air flow can be an issue, making it feel stuffy at times. The food menu can sometimes be out of stock, which might be disappointing. Overall, Devil's Reef is a vibrant place with great decor, excellent staff, and a memorable tiki bar experience worth visiting.

An H.P. Lovecraft themed Tiki Bar! Excellent service, great vibes, and a stellar Eldritch feel to the place. I was as excitable as a pulp noir detective at the Gilman Hotel in Innsmouth itself!

Devil’s Reef has been on my tiki bucket list ever since reading about them in Minimalist Tiki. It did not disappoint.

I make a commando grog at home.. and it just doesn’t stand up to what they’re making at Devil‘s Reef. The rum builds, the syrups, the ingredients.. all of it is top notch. Bartenders were very knowledgeable and friendly.

Highly recommend stopping in here if you’re in Tacoma.

I feel like I’m in Pirates of the Caribbean without the travel to Disneyland. Food is amazing. Drink an are even better. Good luck ordering just one
