The decor is a blast from the past, with vintage signs and memorabilia covering every inch of wall space. Don't skip the dill dip (it's made in-house). “Classic diner with good food for the price. I like the fact that you order before you sit down, you know your food order is in but you still get the service of a sit down restaurant. They keep your coffee topped off and the food is usually pretty quick even on busy Sunday mornings.“

“1st time visit Monday July 7th. The bartender Ian was very attentive and the new co-owner was very friendly. Most bars in Tacoma offer a variety of food and beverage so outstanding customer service is what makes an establishment stand out. The couple next to me ordered chicken wings and they looked amazing. I’ll bring an appetite next time! One pool table and a good sound system. Outdoor patio with misters on hot days was unique and the clientele 4-7pm was a mix of working and retired patrons. I’ll come back with co-workers and keep up the great service guys!

“Love love LOVE this place on 6th Ave. Chill vibe with good tunes, good drinks, and good people. The owner, Sam, was behind the bar just showing why Tacoma is such an amazing place to live. Had several drinks that were bartender's choice, and each was amazing. If you are looking for a fun spot for date night or just want to hang out with friends, Side Pony is the place to go“

“This bar is very spacious, crowd is diverse and friendly on a slow Sunday night, bartender was perfectly attentive, and drinks were fairly priced. It's full of things to do, but we went to play soft tip darts. They have a nice big row and a half of soft tip dart boards (online electronic) and a couple steel tip) We were visiting from out of state, but if we ever come back or move to WA, we will come back to play darts here again. Had a great time, thank you.

“Top dive bars in America right here. Love the history, the eclectic decor, the layout, the constant karaoke, the actual sociable main bar, and of course the teapot design.

Food is meh, but drunk food is wowza, so have a few. Didnt have high expectations, its a bar! Beer is freshy fresh.“
