The vibe is a greasy spoon local cafe. The waitstaff know the owner and seem to enjoy the laid back local vibe. The portion sizes are giant. The food was cooked properly and presented well. They really don't use seasoning, so we were not as happy with the taste. We took a lot home and it was much tastier with a little salt and some fresh herbs. But if you're eating there, just expect no seasoning.
Walked in at 1:40 on a Saturday afternoon. Was told it was to go only. You are OPEN until 2, SERVE until 2.
Let me just say this place is a HUGE dive, not in a good way. I spent as much as the very nice breakfast place called Le Sel in downtown Tacoma with a balcony view of the sound. Here, I got to watch a water pitcher of ketchup sitting on the counter for flies to enjoy while they did other things instead of filling the ketchup bottles like they setup to...
