Yum yum yum! My partner and I came on a busy Saturday night and sat at the bar. We got the super stretchy bean and cheese dip, alongside the chicken lime tacos, the Big Sur fish tacos, and our favorite, the sriracha honey tofu tacos. Very friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and yummy food! No free chips and salsa, but it is forgiven.
It’s a busy Bar. All the servers and bartenders had an upbeat attitude. They serve virgin margaritas and other nonalcoholic drinks too. The queso was good. You can find free parking nearby
I thought Red Star was just okay. Coming from the South, I’m a little picky about tacos. These were….fine. Under seasoned like a lot of food up here. But the ingredients seemed quality at least! I did really like the bean dip-that was the best part. Soda was flat and had to send back. The wait to get a table was very long but service was sufficient and the atmosphere is great.
