Excellent corner grocery with a variety of eastern European goods. There’s shelves with potted meats, tins of fish, brined vegetables, bread, tea, and tea cookies. There’s a cold goods section with a variety of dumplings like pelmeni and peirogi, kefir and cheeses, and smoked salmon and fish jerky in the meat counter.
There’s also a desserts counter with slices of some other desserts i am less familiar with like spartak cake, markiza, damskiy kapriz, and more.
4/5 stars, quite friendly, tidy, and clean.
Found it just walking around a mom and her daughter where inside working in the daughter translated for me which I was very happy she was there because they both where very nice and polite plus helpful. I got croissant that the daughter said where favorite and they looked delicious the said no they where not fresh I got anyway because they looked good and despite not have warmed them up they where even better than expected. Got some cheese also good. If one has never had smoked salmon I had not it was the best fish I have ever had. Highly recommend going and giving it a try the fish and every thing else. The friendly staff only was worth the visit.
This store has become my favorite store, looking forward to my next trip down here in Vancouver so I can swing by! They had pine flavored mouthwash, if you see some, try it, it's actually better than the minty stuff! Staff was very understanding, as we don't understand Russian or Ukrainian, they helped us out told us where to buy the mouthwash (pharmacy, if you do get some buy it there). I don't remember the name but there was some bread that was stuffed with potatoes or cheese in the bakery section, it was very good, I recommend you get some. I have also discovered that Russian ice cream is significantly better than US ice cream. Loved this place, you can probably really tell lol
Fully stocked European market. The girl that was working the counter was very nice and friendly when I had some questions. The restaurant part has a good menu with very tasty desserts.
Great selection of Eastern European grocery items. Had what I needed when I wasn't able to find it anywhere else in town. Prices felt good as well.
Best cookies in town. Friendly service, great dessert/cake/bread choices lovely especially if you've been to Europe.
The only place I go. The staff is amazing and smile. Very friendly and the food is always fresh and delisious. Google translate is free and can help you if you decide to ask questions.
Very rude cashier. They ask you for a tip when you shop there. That is crazy. Tip for what?
Nice place but… this place has a lot of potentials and the people that run it, seem to be very nice and kind people. Bought some Italian truffle, salmon sandwich and a black coffee. The place needs some TLC and attention to details. Salmon was Ok, not something I would ever order again. Coffee was good and finally a place that serves coffee in a regular cup, not plastic or paper cup ?. The Italian truffle was expired, still tastes ok.
